Kindness

When relationships are on the verge of a bloody battle, the first thing people do is to take an inventory of their verbal ammunition. Some even make lists. What are the choice comebacks? If she says this, I will say this, and so on. What type of ammunition do you use? Snide comments? Lies? Some choice words I do not permit on this website? Remember that whatever comes out of your mouth is tucked neatly away in your heart. This is not easily performed, but how about cleansing that area thoroughly with repentance? See if kindness and love don’t begin to replace the type of retaliation you once used. See if refreshing showers of blessings don’t rain down on you instead. (A man who is kind benefits himself, but a cruel man hurts himself. Proverbs 11:10; Whoever pursues righteousness and kindness will find life, righteousness, and honor. Proverbs 21:21)
